NorthCoast 500 Part 3...Our final Adventures.

Our final few days have sadly come. What an epic journey this has been , one I never dreamed I would make.  Ive always been a beach Holiday kinda gal, but hey we change right?  Well we certainly have and I thank Georgie for that, I really thought maybe we'd have a little mooch in Georgie , to our locL Beaches, But here we are In the Highlands in Bonnie Scotland.

Why Thank you Georgie you have given us pure and simple Freedom, We are free to roam where ever we please, given us a place to sleep, eat and chill.  Our Home on wheels.

As I said in part 2 Mr P had found a little surprise for me, And it certainly was, If your doing this fabulous trip I urge you to pop this on your list.

SMOO CAVE YES I said SMOO.... And just look.....

Its simplicity is amazing , one of Mother natures finest ...

And I decided to try and find my inner Lagatha (you need to be a Vikings lover to know this )
do you think I've cracked it?

Thank you Mr P for finding this absolute beauty. With its Rickety Bridge, cobbled stones, and a glistening waterfall falling onto the pebbles. Mr P ended up carrying Miss Darcy up the many wooden steps, its a little steep I have to say, but so worth the climb down and up again .

We decided as we were near the end we would find a campsite ,which is so lovely to be able to do ,  but It may be different in high season, for us it was fine in September to simply google and give them a call.
we found Sango sands, and it was Perfect .

A plus about Mr P installing a solar panel onto Georgie...if this is something you would love to do here's a link to Touring with the Thomas's , and Mr P shows you how easy it is, And it means we don't have to reply on Plugging in for electric, another eco-plus using the sun for energy. Ive really tried to be as sustainable as you can be whist travelling on the road, well that's another Blog Post .

We made our way to Sango Sands which was literally a few miles down the road. Upon arrival we were asked if we needed hook up, as we didn't I feel we got 'The best seat in the house' so to speak, we could basically choose anywhere in the field , which was basically  overlooking the sea, and beautiful views across the landscape. Well it was The spot to be.

And a bonus for Mr P there was a pop up breakfast van, as you can see he was over the moon!

But lets take a moment to just look at these views.

I could've stayed here for a few days to be honest, and we met a few Bikers who were exploring too which was great for Mr P, and I just simply walked and took in all of natures beauty, capturing as much as I could,

Its' funny as Im writing this it feels like so long ago but it was only 3 months ago. I am so pleased I captured as much as I could, and decided to write my daily Travel Journal, something I highly recommend, my daughter Louise bought me the perfect size journal, and each night I took time to write our days adventures. Its so wonderful to look back on, and to pass down to our children, For our special Memories.

Once we had breakfast and packed up we were on our way, we CODDIWOMPLE , Finding our next lunch stop in lair, where we found some naughty sheep who were trying to escape , it was actually quite amusing watching the poor sheepdog gather them up, unsuccessfully, may I add, then to add insult to injury , the sheep dog decided he would take a shine to Miss Darcy, hasten to add, she was having none of it!, then Mr Farmer got a little stressed, well that is being polite, the air was blue!, I gathered up miss Dacry and hastily retreated to Georgie, I'm afraid that particular local wasn't very happy he had guests in his village!

Then as we were driving to our final destination of our NorthCoast 500, something I had just said to mr P, was I would've loved to have seen some Deer or Stags, it was as though someone was listening, as we turned a corner my wish was granted, there on the hills were a herd of Stag and Deer, It was truly breathtaking. There are no words, when you see Animals within their natural habitat, there is something truly magical .

For our last Night we found a perfect spot in garve Dundonnel, right next to the Loch, and Miss Darcy started sniffing about in the bushes, it took us a while to realise she could smell and sense the seals coming to say hi, and playing in the Loch.

Just a few minutes from our final spot we found these stunning waterfalls tucked away , I just love how you find these little gems throughout your journey, little special moments tucked away, like presents to find.

Just look at the clouds hovering over the landscape

our friendly seals joining us at breakfast to send us on our way.

I can't say I have a favourite moment from our epic trip. But what we do have is a Bucket load of Memories, along side our laughter, smiles, dancing in the rain, walking along sandy solitary beaches, watching the waves cascade over Rocks and boulders. hearing the waves whilst sleeping in Georgie. running with Miss Darcy creating footprints in the Sand. And bringing our little family that bit closer.  Oh and did I mention the copies amount of Tea, cake, and hot chocolate we consumed.

I hope you have enjoyed our adventure as much as we did. If you are thinking about doing the NorthCoat 500, don't hesitate, sit and plan your trip now. The fun starts when you map out your journey.

We'll be back with more adventures and tips for your Adventures in your campervan.
