Our first Night Out Out in Georgie after Lockdown
Wow what another crazy 6 months , and a tough one, But finally we have managed a little trip away, literally just an hour away from home, to get our mojo back
And what a find, as you know we try to use the app PARK4NIGHT APP, Its fab and has not failed us, it relies on Us the camper van adventurers to pop reviews onto the site, explaining about where you stay, to help other wild campers, find beauty spots.
This beauty spot is BAWDSEY BEACH It was stunning , we literally parked next to the beach, but they are few spots so get there early.
As you can see from the photo its truly serene , we arrived about 3pm which was perfect,There were a few vans and cars parked along the front , but just a little walk , after parking in the m Ain car park, and an obligatory Ice cream, well there was a van and all, it had to be done!
One of the cars drove away, so a little scoot back to Georgie and voila we were parked in our perfect spot !
We set up camp and started cooking in our brilliant omnia, And of course it didn't disappoint , its so easy just use like you would your oven basically, but on your stove top, simply brilliant .
Then to top this perfect day off, the sun began to set, overlooking the sea, it was calm, tranquil and just amazing . Pure Serenity at its best. where else would I rather be, then with my co pilot Mr P, Miss Darcy & this simply perfect evening on the beach. My heart was over flowing with joy, I feel so blessed that we can live this simply life enjoying what Nature brings us and all on our doorstep.
it was all going swimmingly, well until we decided to go inside the van, and then , well lets say the natives (aka locals ) decided to have a bbq literally behind us... to say we were not impressed was an understatement . Obviously they live there so have every right to do what they please, but hey why today when we are here do you choose to light a barbie on your front lawn , its beyond me!
so without further ado we moved, yea moved from our perfect spot! Mr P was not a happy bunny, well neither was I to be honest . but don't worry, not that you were worried! we literally moved along to the carpark a few yards away, which in the long run was perfect , away from the houses, and from the barbie. and still overlooking the perfect sea, so got a beautiful view whilst reading and listening to the waves crashing on the rocks.
Ive got to be honest I try and keep this blog, my instagram and you tube channel as real as possible, I don't like to sugar coat it, Every night is not perfect, every stop is not perfect, and every meal we create or place we turn up at is not perfect, although some may say it is, or try to convince you its all sunshine and roses its not. real life is what I try to create for you all to see, I personally think 90% of the time it is perfect, the most gorgeous way to see what god has sent us, this beautiful world full of nature, and we get to create precious memories, what more could you want.
Mr P Slept perfect , and miss Darcy, Me.... not so good i'm afraid, whether it was first night away in Georgie for a while? or discomfort i'm not sure, ?It may have been a tad chilly? But did it matter ? ... No, it didn't as when you wake up, open the side doors and see.... Look at where you are, it truly doesn't matter. you instantly forget, pop on the kettle, sit with your cuppa and just 'Be" for a while, mindfulness at it's best. Then pop on your walking shoes, yes over your jammies, and walk along the beach strolling and taking it all in. Miss Darcy potters away taking in the morning smells, Yes this part is Perfect.
Then it's brekkie Al fresco, set up courtesy of Mr P.... and to be honest we were kinda glad we moved, it was a beautiful spot, we slowly eat, and drunk our second cuppa listening to the sea, and watching the birds, then gathered our bits up, and made our way home, just stopping en route for some freshly laid eggs out side a house, and I love this part of van life, finding little hidden gems, local goods.
What a perfect first n night out out.....
Follow our journey this year for lots more adventures.
